March at the Garage Cafe

March at the Garage Cafe

As the days grow longer and the first signs of spring begin to bloom across the Cowichan Valley, we’re welcoming March with fresh flavours, vibrant ingredients, and a renewed celebration of community here at The Duncan Garage.

Celebrating Our Cowichan Valley Suppliers - Cowichan Green Community

Spring is a season of fresh beginnings, and we are proud to partner with local growers who share our commitment to quality, sustainability, and community. Supporting local is not just something we say, it’s at the heart of every dish we serve.

This March, we’re putting a spotlight on the Cowichan Green Community, supporting education and food resilience right here in the Valley. Cowichan Green Community is especially close to our hearts because the majority of our produce comes from their farm just 2km down the road. Often, the fresh, organically grown vegetables are harvested in the morning and featured in your dishes that very same afternoon here at The Garage. It doesn’t get much more local than that!

Cowichan Green Community’s 17th Annual Seedy Sunday is a wonderful way to connect with our local growing community, get inspired for the season ahead, and celebrate the roots of our food system.

With over 40 local vendors, you’ll find locally adapted seeds, plant starts, natural products, educational resources, and the much-loved seed swap table. There will also be free workshops, live music, food vendors, and plenty of activities for kids. We love seeing events like this bring our community together!

Creamy, cheesy, and made from scratch with quality ingredients, it’s the ultimate comfort food with a Garage twist. Bring the crew, grab a table, and let us take care of lunch! We can’t wait to see your family here at The Garage.

Chomp for Charity Results

Thanks to your incredible support during the Chomp for Charity Hospital Foundation fundraiser, we were proud to donate $750 to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation.

Community is everything to us, and being able to give back makes it even more meaningful. Thank you for helping us turn great food into real impact.

A Fresh Season Ahead

March feels like a fresh start. Lighter mornings. Brighter afternoons. New flavours emerging from the soil. We’re embracing it all with seasonal specials, local ingredients, and warm hospitality.

Thank you for continuing to support local, not just us, but the farmers, bakers, and growers who make the Cowichan Valley such an incredible place to eat and gather.

We can’t wait to welcome you this spring!
